I still have otitis externa pretty bad in the ear it started in.. my concern is what to do when out of antibiotics and no way to urgent care temporari?

A heating pad may help, along with ibuprofen (with food only,and only if you have no nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or abdominal pain or other reasons not to take it - read the label). Bad Otitis externa: First, were antibiotics topical or oral? If Ear canal is so swollen, that doctor is unable to visualize the ear drum, this might be underlying middle ear infection.Oral antibiotics would be indicated for 7-10 days.
