A member asked:

Would any of the panel of blood tests rheumys do for autoimmune indicate celiac or does it have to be specifically tested for?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: It depends what your rheumatologist is looking for. Generally, the celiac tests such as anti-gliadin, anti-tissue-transglutaminase, and IgA endomysial antibodies are not specifically tested for. Either you should ask if you have suspicion of family history of Celiac or your doctor has to suspect it in you.
