Can you feel a brown recluse bite?

RecluseSpider bite: Often bite is painless or little pain like a mosquito bite. Pain can develop two or more hours after a bite and can be severe by four hours after a bite. If you believe you have had a recluse spider bite, you should contact your doctor to report this and get advice on treating any symptoms.

Look it up: There are NO brown recluse spiders anywhere in New England. They are found mostly in SW USA from Arkansas to Arizona. Bites by them are rare and frequently cause little distress. Nearly all reports of spider bites in USA are erroneous. Unless you took the spider to an expert for identification, assume you have something other than a spider bite.
