There can be many...: Acute GVHD presents as a skin rash, gut symptoms (nausea or diarrhea) or jaundice. Chronic GVHD commonly causes dry eyes and dry mouth but they can also get quite sore. More serious symptoms of chronic GVHD include sclerosis (scarring or thickening) of the skin, or reduced flexibility due to connective tissue inflammation (fascitis). Pulmonary airflow obstruction may cause shortness of breath.
