What is the difference between a sleeve gastrectomy and lap band surgery?

Sleeve is better IMO: Lap band entails putting a silicone ring that is slowly inflated to cinch up the top of the stomach so you can't eat as much. It doesn't have as great weight loss as the sleeve, and often has problems like nausea/pain, migration/slippage/erosion. The sleeve has better weight loss, more durable, and also improves the metabolic problems assoc w/obesity like diabetes. See a surgeon for more info!
