Which is more effective: bupropion and fluoxetine?

Different: While all antidepressants are effective, this depends on the individual. These medications target different neurotransmitters. Bupropion is particularly helpful in reducing cravings for nicotine and is useful for seasonal affective disorder. Both medications may also help with anxiety and the side effects are different. Bupropion generally has less sexual side effects.

That depends: Fluoxetine is very helpful in treatment of typical depressive disorders & anxiety. Bupropion is effective in treatment of atypical depressive disorders & smoking cessation. They can be used together for a mixed picture.
