what is the difference between a urea breath test and an endoscopy?

Different tests: A urea breath test is usually used to determine whether helicobacter pylori is eradicated. It involves taking a pill and collecting gas samples. An endoscopy is a scope passed down the mouth and into the stomach. The tests are done for different reasons. Hope that helps.
