Keep it clean: Hard to say without seeing it. If you cannot separate the edges, it probably won’t need stitches. You should wash the area carefully with soap and water and apply an antibiotic ointment. Repeat this once or twice daily until it heals. Consider seeing a doctor within the next 24 hours if the bleeding doesn’t stop, if the area is larger than about 2.5 cm, or if it goes completely thru the skin.
