Try: It's worthwhile trying it for a short time, but if there is no improvement after a couple of weeks discontinue it and see a dermatologist for diagnosis and treatment.

Try 1% Hydrocrt Crm: Without more information and examining the area, it is difficult to determine the cause for your flaky spot. It should be fine to try over-the-counter 1% hydrocortisone cream. If no improvement w/i 1wk, seek medical attention. I would advise avoiding higher potency steroid, like fluocinonide on sensitive skin like penis.

Here are some ...: Floucinonide is a steroid cream and chiefly used for skin rashes caused by allergy. So, it may be tried as instructed for 5-7 days and see. If improved, it's great, but don't use it daily for more than 10-14 days; if not improved as expected or worsened, seek pro-evaluation, Rx, & counseling.
