Is black curtain effect from retinal detachment opaque or transparent? also is it fixed at one place or can it move around a bit like floater?

If you have it, call: your eye doctor emergently! It can appear either /or, and in any case if it's on your macula, it's serious! Off macula also requires urgent attention. RD usually appears, 'as a dark veil of floaters' because the retina has pigment, and the detachment is a shearing force pulling the pigment off tractionally & can look like many, many floaters in the vitreous, which is like a jelly and is moveable.
