Why is 0 included in ranges of rbc and wbc?

Good question: That is really a good question because both of those numbers would not be compatible with life. Probably the same reason they put 0 on a speedometer or a tape measure, we have to start from somewhere to have a range.

None: Because you could actually have zero red and/or white blood cell counts. And that is very important for us to know.

On a recent blood test my WBC was at 3.8X10E3/uL (Normal Range 4.0 to 11.0). All other tests (RBC,etc.) were witin the normal range. Is it serious?
Had a urinalysis. All things negative, except leukocytes were +1 and it said "few"bacteria. For RBC, said none seen. For WBC, said was in range 0-5. My question is why didn't it say none seen. Since range was 0-5, I could have had 0. Thoughts?
