I had bloodwork taken 10 days ago and i now notice that my bruise by my elbow has spread up my arm and is yellow. is this a harmless bruise?

Yes: I'm sorry you got a bruise; it's mostly luck and putting and keeping a lot of pressure on the site only helps some. This is the normal progression of a bruise. If the elbow moves normally and isn't especially painful, don't worry.
