Modify diet: Have you changed your diet? If you continue to eat and drink acidic foods and beverages then you will undo the Nexium (esomeprazole) affect as far as a relates your throat. Heartburn is easy to treat with medicines like Nexium (esomeprazole) but if you are having throat inflammation and irritation due to reflux you have to stop drinking coffee, tea, soda and avoid all other acidic foods and beverages. It is also essential that you not eat or drink anything for three hours before you lay down at night.
