Ultrasound: I do not think scar tissue would affect visualization that much. Early in pregnancy the uterus is smaller and if using abdominal US, gas from the bowels can get in the way and make it harder to see. Transvaginal images can sometimes get better images. Low Amniotic fluid levels can also decrease image quality.
