Diet and planning: Hi hbj. Assuming you are a type I, you know immediate treatment is dietary glucose. Longer term, you will develop an understanding of the glycemic index of your diet, and choose accordingly. More exercise, more food. And if you are 'brittle', you may do better on a different insulin mix, and perhaps a pump. Consult with a diabetologist that your own md can refer you to.
good luck.
