Yes: Sometimes people have a opposite effect to the typical effects. This is not uncommon. Tylenol (acetaminophen) pm has tylenol (acetaminophen) plus benadryl. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is an antihistamine that is usually sedating. Some people have the opposite experience and it keeps them awake.
