Yes: However, it does depend on the std. It can be spread from the serum of vesicular lesions (herpes) or other "open" lesions (syphilis). Yet others do not need to have this fluid to transmit the disease (hpv) and others will be more internal, and seepage will occur through the urethra (chlamydia). In summary, know what you/your partner may have and take all the necessary precautions. Be safe!

OPEN WOUND: Saliva carries many bacteria and virus strains so if you have an open sore or wound where blood is present than contact with saliva can cause an std.
