Diarrhea/rehydrate!: If your 6 year old is dehydrated he may be admitted to the hospital for IV fluids. To prevent; give small amounts of clear liquids frequently. Electrolyte replacement solutions like Pedialyte are good. Signs of dehydration include: decreased urine output (< 2 voids in 12 hours), tacky mucous membranes (his tongue is sticky), lethargy/very tired and dizziness. Go to his PMD/ER to evaluate ASAP.
