Liver: Sgpt is a measure of enzymes that come from the liver or muscle and this test can detect whether the liver is being injured or not by drugs such as phenobarbital. An assay is justba general term for any type of test. The dose of pheno depends on the weight of a child, not the age, and generally the max dose is around 8mg per kilogram per day.
