Need testing: Vaginal discharge is often a sign of infection. Thick white discharge could be due to yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis (BV) . If the discharge has an odor it is more likey BV. Best way to tell is by looking at discharge under a microscope. Sexually transmitted infection (STI) is another possibility and should definitely be tested for, if you have had unprotected sex.
