Yes: When taken properly! It is best to try and take birth control pills around the same time of day, EVERYDAY. Then it is effective. Safer to use condoms in addition to birth control pill to reduce risk of STDs and if you miss a pill or are prescribed a medication which interferes with birth control. Always ask your pharmacist if any medication you take will interfere with your birth control pill!
