Don't be deceived : Cannabis is not recommended for the treatment of Depression or Anxiety. Your perception that it "helps" may be deceiving because of the euphoria. You perceive that you are experiencing some temporary relief of your symptoms but over a period of time, with continued cannabis use, your symptoms will likely get worse. Cannabis is a central nervous system depressant.

Not pharma grade: Most physicians don't prescribe pot for anxiety. It is not FDA approved, not pharma grade, not quality controlled, impure, not highly predictable, and has a host of unintended side effects. One side effect is that it makes you feel stoned and apathetic, leading to less functional state, which is counterproductive. Where legalized, generally it is herbalists who make a business of prescribing it.
