I'm 16 weeks pregnant. i can usually push on my stomach where the baby is and it not hurt. when i laid down tonight it did. it doesn't feel the same.

Painful uterus: Contact your OB about your symptoms as soon as possible. Your uterus should not hurt when it is touched. She will do a pelvic exam to rule out premature labor (cervical dilation or shortening). She will also do a sonogram to see if you have any fibroids which can be painful. She will also measure the amount of amniotic fluid inside of your uterus to determine if you possibly have an infection.
