Virus 3 weeks ago and bad cough since this i have had extreme pain in side and under breastbone cough has gone but pain is still as bad.no tabets work?

Pain s/p cough: Could be strain of rib muscles from coughing. Does it hurt when you press? Could be costochondritis which responds to Aleve (naproxen) /ibuprofen if not allergic. Rarely could be fracture from cough (you would have to cough real hard) no real intervention sometimes ace bandage helps with support but not too tight you have to breathe or unrelated clot ( check d-dimer) f/u with doctor/ uregent care.
