I have kidney sand and feel sharp pain several times a day.should i take painkillers? how long does it take to pass it & will it be painful?

Depends..: Common stones are Uric acid, oxalate. See your doctor to know. Some dietary modification will eliminate production. Mean while flush yourself with plenty of water. Avoid dehydration, tea, broccoli, cauliflower and red meat. Toradol is the best pain medication...it can be very painful.
