Help them go away: A doctor can help the molluscum go away (pediatrician, family doctor, or dermatologist can do this). EMLA (lidocaine and prilocaine) anesthetic cream can be put on the molluscum, and after an hour, the skin will be numb. Then, the doctor can use a needle and prick the tops of each molluscum. There will be a tiny spot of blood. The body reacts to the pricking by trying to get rid of the molluscum, and it usually works.
