These days...: During the winter season and with the use of heaters in the house the nasal mucosa gets exposed to many environmental changes that cause dryness and mucus production in people that has the tendency. You may use saline mist or drops in order to keep your nasal mucosa moist.

Low humidity???: Do you happen to live in an area with low humidity or in a cold climate where right now indoor heating may be taking the humidity out of the air? I suggest using a humidifier or nasal rinses with a Netty Pot. You can also supplement with a saline nasal spray.
