Cyst: it could be a cyst connecting to the joint,or it could be a bursitis,or a nodule with no relation or connection to the joint. you can leave it alone unless it started causing pain ,or it is getting larger.

Doctor i am 22 years old male during self rectal exam i found a hard lump in my rectum i could feel it means it has sensation in it was not numb it was around the size of a walnut it was irregular to touch and was not bleeding what could it be?
Pea sized roundish lump between bone and skin 1/4 inch below the point of elbow and 1/2 inch towards the outer side as opposed to directly below. Moves slightly when pushed. Feels about as firm as a gummy bear. No pain. What is it likely to be?
