I wouldn't try to: self - diagnose these conditions. Medical assessment (often by gastroenterologist) should lead to accurate diagnosis. Take care.

Visit your MD: There are tests they can run that will differentiate between the two. THere are MANY tests they can run, such as crohns antibody tests that are not usually elevated in IBS. There are Xray tests that can be perfomed, and basic blood work as well. See your doctor for a full evaluation.
