Ear lobe swelling: it is either an infection or allergic reaction to the alloy of the earring. Remove the earring and see a doctor for treatment.

Maybe infected : Remove the earring, and keep it clean with soap and water. May need to wipe it down with alcohol wipes, or hydrogen peroxide. If there is a skin infection, may need antibiotics. See a general practitioner to determine if this is necessary. Hope this helps!
