Don't fight, ignore: his delaying tactics. Read "Little People" by Dr. Christopherson. . At a consistent bedtime, brush teeth, read, cuddle, then put him to bed in his own room, drowsy but awake, without bottle or pacifier, to learn to self-calm to sleep. Calmly walk him back to bed without making eye contact, talking to him or getting angry. His behaviors will 1st worsen, then stop, if you consistently ignore them.
