A member asked:

I've been having pain/cramping in my left calf after laying down. is this anything to do with my heart? i'm on a 30 day event monitor for my heart.

No: It has nothing to do with your heart - mostly likely you're having common nocturnal leg cramps - can happen with dehydration, diuresis, and overstretch/overuse. Try walking until they resolve. At the first sign of return, "flex your toes in the direction of your nose" (ie bend your foot upward) to immediately relieve the cramp. Everyone gets nocturnal leg cramps sometimes.
