Mouth Breathing: Do the lines disappear after you've been awake for awhile? If so, you may be breathing solely through your mouth while sleeping. Mouth breathing can dry out tooth enamel, which can cause the enamel to exhibit different shades and striations

Your mouth can dry out while you sleep. The white lines are areas in your teeth where the enamel is weaker and may be prone to wear or decay, cavities. Good dental hygiene, good diet that is low in sugar and acids, and regular dental care can help this. If you haven’t seen a dentist in a while it is a good time to see a dentist.
