Talk to your doctor: Xanax (alprazolam) is a highly addictive drug. It is fast acting and hits the reward centers of the brain reinforcing its use. My best advice is to avoid its use. There are safer and less addictive alternatives. Many people use Xanax (alprazolam) for non-medicinal or recreational purposes. In this case, any dose is too much. Xanax (alprazolam) us sedating and can cause respiratory suppression when combined with other drugs. High risk!

Daily? Each dose?: I'd advise you discuss this w/ the doctor and follow directions. But any more than needed is too much. Don't exceed 2mg per dose except w/ close medical advice and limit to 10mg/day unless directed for a time-limited, specific reason. It can kill you or make you very ill - drowsey, confused, uncoordinated are signs of too much. Be very careful!
