Osgood-Schatter: This is a disorder common in rapidly growing teens, that although painful during this period, has no long term effects on growth. Management is supportive and preventative, such as using shin guards for sports activities, NSAID medications such as Motrin/Advil, and applying ice packs when actively painful.
