Pain from stomach: If the pain with eating was on the right side, then it could be gallbladder disease. Pain when eating which is under a rib on the left side, is most likely pain in your stomach. It could be related to gastritis (irritation of the stomach), H. pylori (an infection in the stomach) or peptic ulcer disease (PUD). It is a good idea to be tested for H. pylori which can lead to more serious problems.
