No: if you had some kind of endoscopy within a year most like you do not have anything to worry about i would felt better if you had a colonoscopy instead of sigmoidoscopy i did not know they are still in use most likely the bleeding from a fissure or a hemorrhoid

See g.i. specialist: Just to be safe, I would return to the gastroenterologist who did the original sidmoidoscopy to confirm that the blood is from hemorrhoids.
