Probably normal: Menstrual period length and flow varies at times and cramping may be more intense with a more prolonged period. You can help both the amount of bleeding and cramping with over the counter ibuprofen. If bleeding does not subside, see your doctor for further evaluation. Ovarian cysts can also produce these types of periods.
