Does aspirin interfere with nerve conduction study or electromyogram results?

NO: Aspirin doesn't affect the results of the test but it may lead to excessive bleeding from the electrode/needle part of the EMG test. So if the doctors office recommends stopping the aspirin a week to ten days before the EMG it is likely due to the concern for possible bleeding.
