Let it ride.: Unless you're having other associated symptoms, such as bleeding or severe pain, I would give it another few days. One thing that may help is to increase the amount of your fluid intake. I would continue with the high fiber diet. In the long run, that will be the healthiest for your colon. Good luck.

Fiber tends to be a: laxative by adding bulk, anti-constipation. However there are many variables, largest being internal control of colon motility, delayed evacuation (for whatever reasons), internal emotions, decreased physical activity, etc. Most laxatives ↑ constipation problems over time. Generally ↑ed activity, ↑ed hydration, high fiber foods, prunes, softeners, osmotic agents, in order listed, are best/safest.
