It may be normal: If this is a new implant, it is very common to have irregular bleeding during the first three months of use, but can also happen at any time during the life of the implant. The pain is your uterus cramping to get the unstable lining out. Sometimes adding a low dose birth control pill can help control the bleeding, But if recently put in the doctor usually asks you to try to wait it out for 3mo
