What does it mean if you took a pregnancy test home that was positive but its negative when you go to the doctor ?

False positive?: A positive home pregnancy test but negative pregnancy test at the doctor's office could have been a false positive, you could have read the test wrong, or you could have had a very early miscarriage and just have a period that is a little late and heavier than normal.
