A member asked:

Hai doc, i have 1 matured ovum on the left side and 4 small ovums on the right side on my 13th day of ovulation..do i have a chance of getting twins??my husband sperm count is 36 million

Unlikely : Several follicles containing eggs begin mature each cycle. One usually becomes the dominate follicle and ovulates. The others simply atrophy and go away. That sounds like what is happening to you. In the case of identical twins one egg is fertilized and then divides to produce 2 embryos. This could still happen. Hope this helps.
