A member asked:

What does hbsag (-), anti-hbs( -), anti-hbc (igm), hbeag (+/-), anti-hbe (+/-) means? what does +/- means in hbeag and anti-hbe? help

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hepatitis B tests: Neg HbsAg/neg anti-Hbs means your are free of the virus but not yet immune to it and your HbeA/antiHbe status is equivocal (+/-) which has to do with your infectivity (ability to spread the infection). A pos antiHbc IgM suggests recent infection while a positive Hbc IgG suggests past infection
