A member asked:

Hi! is it normal to still have severe pain that increases when you walk/move at all after passing a kidney stone?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: The kidney may still be inflamed/swollen after recent stone passage and therefore be sensitive to movement. In addition, if the stone caused irritation during passage, some blood clots may have formed and are now trying to pass through the ureter (kidney tube), causing pain. Key question is how many stones you had on the affected side (maybe another one is passing). If pain continues see doctor
