If...: If you are unable to pass stool or gas it is very important that you get seen as soon as possible especially if you have pain or feel sick. In any case, since we lack any more information contact your surgeon or go to the emergency room.

Following a bowel movement, there appears to be a "cloud" (translucent) around the stool that is typically a maroon color. Stool is normal and regular, for the most part. I don't know if this signifies bleeding or if I should be concerned at all. ?
