Guaifenesin: Try taking guaifenesin which is an excellent expectorant, it helps to thin secretions so that they can more easily drain from your sinuses. A steroid nasal spray (eg. Flonase) may also be helpful. Try taking ibuprofen or naproxen for inflammation. If your symptoms are not improving within a week, consult a physician. Antibiotics may be required if you have a sinus infection.
