See a doctor: Your description doesn't sound like a typical bug bite. Would suggest getting the skin lesion looked at by his primary doctor or dermatologist.

Not a bug bite.: What you are describing does not sound like a bug bite, which is more likely to be red and may have a central puncture site that could be slightly crusted. Please get this checked out by your doctor or dermatologist.
