Unsure: Unfortunately without having seen a spider , it would be very hard to determine if it happened. Certainly there are more things that can cause that reaction. The important thing is so watch for signs of an infection such as redness , swelling, pain, fever\chills. Good luck!

Staph Infection: This is a dangerous staph infection known as MRSA. He needs to possibly have this abscess drained or at the very least needs to be on very powerful antibiotics. Please take him to his doctor's office in the morning.
