Stop: the bottle! A child of his age does not to be using the bottle. Also milk taken at a sleep time can cause tooth decay. maybe his refusal is telling you to stop. His need for milk in a day is only 16-20 oz and can be given with a sipper cup

Enjoy the progress: A 2 yo should never drink from a bottle anyway and should not be taught to feed before laying down.This does not aid their sleep, it increases the risk they will develop gastroesophageal reflux and heartburn.Bottling also erodes their teeth.Sounds like your kid has figured this out.
